A week for poetry

POETRY IS HONEY FOR THE SOUL

Geoff is the first reader turned blogger today
for our poetry week.

In a field
I am the absence
of field.

This is
always the case.
Wherever I am
I am what is missing.

When I walk
I part the air
and always
the air moves in
to fill the spaces
where my body’s been.

We all have reasons
for moving.
I move
to keep things whole.

  1. Geoff:

this poem made me think a lot about the reasons I/we move.

Poetry does keep things whole in that way.

"Parting the air/to move the spaces"/where the body has been.

This poem made me think a lot as well. I did not know this poet and I think that I shall put quick references to him for further readings.
    Thank you for comment on this page;
I saw that there has been some time that you have been posted (+1) on Google and I wished to thank you. You cannot imagine how heart warming it is for me.

    1. Thank you for these short comments.

They warm my heart too, Camille.

We're going to experience lots of poets that/who we don't know.

Some very academic thoughts I had about physics and geometry and geography. And this poem has a spiritual gravity.
